About

Kay Churcher (b. 1996, Edinburgh) is an installation artist based in The Hague. A graduate of the ArtScience Interfaculty at the Royal Academy of Art, her practice explores perception, spatial awareness, and the sensory boundaries between body and environment.

Working with light, sound, projection, and architectural form, Churcher creates site-specific installations that heighten awareness of the present moment. Her works examine the fleeting nature of experience and the subjectivity of perception, transforming spaces into immersive environments where viewers become conscious of their own sensory and emotional responses. Each installation adapts to its context, using new media and sculptural methods to reveal overlooked aspects of how we perceive and inhabit the world.
