Have you ever found yourself in a city center at night,
when the emptiness crowds the streets in place of people
and you feel as though this is not the way this place is meant to be
perhaps you have glimpsed another version of the world
If a tree falls in a forest and no-one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Of course it does.
But what is the significance of an observer?
If they were there, would the outcome change?
Most likely not,
but their very presence acts as a bridge between the human realm of experience and all that exists beyond it.
If there were no observer the tree would fall, the sound would be made
but it would remain in its own realm of experience,
it would not cross the bridge to ours.
Perhaps this is the significance you feel when alone in a deserted city
When you are the observer.
